Brocade appoints new VP for APAC
Brocade has appointed Charlie Foo as Vice President for Asia Pacific (APAC). Foo succeeds Deb Dutta to assume the region’s top role responsible for charting the company’s overall growth strategy across Asia Pacific and will be based in Singapore reporting directly into Ian Whiting, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales.
“Charlie is a dynamic leader with deep knowledge of the APAC market and is highly experienced in creating and implementing market-leading partner initiatives and strategies. During the past five years, Charlie has built and led a robust and successful partner organization throughout the region, which is instrumental in accelerating our IP business growth and maintaining our SAN leadership position in the region. As APAC continues to take on an increased significance for our global business, we are confident that this region will quickly emerge as one of our primary growth engines under Charlie’s leadership,” said Ian Whiting.
“Brocade is committed to serving this region’s customers with the best resources and support available, and continually investing heavily in the region to help them take full advantage of their investments and trust of Brocade networking solutions. I am excited to take on this new role to help further our success across the region through working closely with our customers and partners. We are looking forward to the opportunities that APAC brings in 2012, particularly in areas of big data analytics and cloud services where spending is expected to increase for the delivery of agile business services,” said Foo.
