Portable stationery label Printers 
Epson has launched its first series of portable stationery label printers under its own "Epson" brand. This is to form part of a comprehensive set of labelling solutions for its customers ranging from large volume industrial labelling with the Epson SurePress L-4033 launched last year, to the stationery labelling market.
The new printers are: Handheld stationery label printers: Epson LabelWorks LW-300 & Epson LabelWorks LW-400 and PC connected stationery label printer: Epson LabelWorks LW-900P.
The new Epson LabelWorks printers are ideal for office environments, including large corporates, small and medium businesses (SMBs), small offices home offices (SOHOs) , or even homes for labelling anything from archival files and documents to household items, scrapbooks, school books and stationery items. They can also be used to print on cable wraps and iron-ons that are part of the large variety of media Epson offers for the Epson LabelWorks printers. Vertical industries like logistics, manufacturing, building management will also benefit from the ability of the Epson LW-400 and LW-900P to print barcodes for tracking inventories.
"Epson has strong experience in this market as we have been an OEM maker for the top Japanese brand of stationery label makers for about 20 years. Harnessing our experience, we are entering this market to offer our customers an additional choice of label printing options,' said A K Harish, Senior Business Manager - Visual Instruments, Epson India.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
