IBM accelerates Start-up Growth 
IBM has recently announced its "Smart Camp Kickstart" event in Bangalore, India. This event, part of IBM's Global Entrepreneur Programme will bring together entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, academic leaders and experienced mentors with innovative ideas that can help to build a Smarter Planet.
The KickStart events are a new component to the SmartCamp programme this year. These events are day-long versions of the full SmartCamps that focus on a particular topic or industry. The winner from the Bangalore KickStart event will have the chance to participate in the Asia SmartCamp, being held in Beijing in September. The winner of the event in Asia will further participate in the IBM SmartCamp global finals.
"SmartCamp 2012 is a programme designed to leverage top tier mentor networks in support of building strong city communities, which are globally connected to help build a Smarter Planet. IBM SmartCamp 2011 was a huge success with the active participation from entrepreneurs, mentors and capitalists alike. This year too promises to be another challenging, yet exciting year for budding entrepreneurs and the key to that is Innovation.
