Ittiam Systems eyes newer areas

Ittiam Systems is believed to focus on new areas such as WiFi, automotive and broadcast communications. The Company is looking for growth beyond its traditional intellectual property (IP) licensing model. Further, the company, which is privately held, plans to double its revenues to $40 million by 2015.
Srini Rajam, Chairman & CEO, Ittiam Systems said, “We figured that instead of software and systems IP, we will have a mixed approach whereby we will look at traditional IP licensing model and at the same time target these new verticals. For this, the company is looking to hire 50 engineers and add to its existing 200 employee base. Going ahead, the company will continue to see 25 per cent revenue growth from WiFi business and the rest from software and systems IP.”
