Blackberry Study Buddy App unveiled
IMS has launched Study Buddy - an exclusive app for BlackBerry smartphones that helps students prepare for competitive exams.  Powered by research-based content, Study Buddy app offers mock tests for premier MBA entrance exams such as CAT and CMAT. The app also includes placement tests used by leading IT and other organizations for campus recruitments.
“BlackBerry is a popular brand among the youth today and Study Buddy is our way of making learning a lot more fun and interactive for them. Looking at the increased smartphone usage among the youth segment, there was a definite need to create this app, which helps students in preparing and benchmarking themselves for aptitude tests,” said Kamlesh Sajnani, Managing Director, IMS.
Sunil Dutt, Managing Director, India, Research In Motion, said, “Using your phone while studying was traditionally viewed as counterproductive, but today we see mobile technology empowering students. Study Buddy is a smarter way to prepare for some of the toughest exams in India and we are very pleased to support this launch together with IMS and Vodafone.”
Furthermore, as part of its long standing commitment to enabling the best services for its customers, Vodafone is offering a customized BlackBerry service plan on their immensely popular Campus Pack, which includes the Study Buddy App absolutely free.
Ishmeet Singh, Business Head, Maharashtra & Goa, Vodafone India, said, “This unique initiative is a reflection of our efforts to help empower the youth of our country.  Today’s youth values innovation and smarter ways of getting things done and this is our contribution to facilitating education through the mobile platform.”
