Samsung's Incentive Programme for Indian Contingent 
Samsung India has announced its incentive programme for the Indian Contingent. Samsung's 2012 "Olympic Ratna" programme, which provides a scholarship for high potential sportsmen and women, saw the addition of ace shooter Manavjit Singh Sandhu and MC Mary Kom, the only Indian woman boxer to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Park, President & CEO, South West Asia HQ, Samsung Electronics, said, "At Samsung, we are committed to growing the Olympic movement in the country and are proud to have been associated with the Indian Olympic Association since the Bangkok Asian Games in 1998. Through the Samsung Olympic Ratna Programme that was first instituted at the Athens Olympics, we have sought to nurture and develop Indian sporting talent. Our support of the Indian Contingent, our Incentive programme as well as our ‘Olympic Ratna’ programme, are all aimed at enriching the growing sporting culture in the country as well as motivating our Olympic heroes. We wish them the best and hope they do the country proud."
Raja Randhir Singh, Secretary General of the IOA and Member, International Olympic Committee, said, "I would like to appreciate the strong and consistent support that Samsung has been giving to the sports movement in the country. I am confident that the Indian team will not just put up a stellar performance but will bring back medals for us as well."
To motivate the Samsung Olympic Ratnas, the Company has also announced a "Family Support" programme wherein Samsung will support the travel of one family member of the Olympic Ratna to the London Games. To rally support for the Indian Olympic team, Samsung has kicked off a digital campaign.  Samsung has set up a special page on Facebook with a "Fans Speak" application that allows fans to send their best wishes to the Indian team members. 
Additionally, Samsung has also created a special application on Olympics that can be downloaded on select Samsung Smartphones from the London 2012 category of the Samsung Mobile Apps store. Titled "PlayUp", the application allows users to download status including schedules, medal tally, key events and standings, as well as provide an access to a host of other interesting details pertaining to Games throughout the Olympics.
