Android based 'Wtab 7.2' unveiled 
Champion Computers has launched the ‘Wtab 7.2’ - an Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) based tablet PC that runs on Cortex A8 1.5 Ghz processor and features 7” (17. 8cm) 5 point touch capacitive screen along with 512MB RAM and flash memory of 4GB expandable upto 32 GB and front MP camera.
Kapil Wadhwa, MD, Champion Computers Pvt Ltd, said, “The market today is flooded with cheap tablets with questionable quality. Our strategy is not to launch the cheapest tablet but an affordable device with quality and superior performance that delights customers. A lot of tablets today face 3G dongle- tablet compatibility issues. Champion provides its own brand of dongles ‘WConnect’ which is 100 % compatible with the Wtab 7.2, making the life of customers convenient.”

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
