"Create To Inspire" targets Youths

Nokia India in partnership with Oxfam India has launched “Create To Inspire” Fellowship program, aimed at enrolling India’s Youths on Sustainable Consumption on the occasion of International Youth Day. The “Create to Inspire” Fellowship is believed to be an out of the box challenge for the youth of India to create ownership and awareness surrounding the effective and judicious consumption and management of water, energy, transport and e-waste. The program is said to provide a platform to young people to use their creative arts to build innovative social action projects that initiate fun and surprising conversations on sustainable consumption.
The “Create To Inspire” Fellowship 2012 program will kick start in Delhi and Hyderabad. Youngsters from both the cities, aged between18 to 23 can submit their applications by September 9th 2012at www.nokia.com/in-en/createtoinspire.
Poonam Kaul, Director - Communications, Nokia India, said, “We believe that the youth of this country are the change agents for tomorrow and that active participation of young people is essential to bringing about a bold social change in our society. Most of our initiatives are targeted at the youth because we understand their role in nation building; the “Create To Inspire” Fellowship is an initiative by Nokia India to engage the youth on the issue of sustainable consumption.”
She added, “We sincerely hope that this initiative will challenge and provide a platform to young people where creative arts can be used to build and initiate relevant conversations around sustainable consumption among the youth of this country.”
