Asus has launched Wi-Fi router Asus RT-AC66U 
Asus has launched Wi-Fi router Asus RT-AC66U and the Asus AiCloud service. 
Asus RT-AC66U is a multifaceted fifth-generation dual-band router for tech-savvy enthusiasts. Its speed reaches 1.75Gbps utilizing the Broadcom 802.11ac Wi-Fi controller and operates in 2.4GHz and 5GHz band which allows users to perform web browsing, file downloading and online gaming. RT-AC66U offers smooth lag-resistant multitasking and super-fast streaming, while ASUS AiRadar intelligently strengthens wireless connections via powerful amplification, offering future-proof optimized performance. The router uses powerful detachable Wi-Fi antennas to further extend wireless range.
Asus AiCloud is a smart and easy mobile application that brings the ASUS cloud experience to iOS and Android. Access, stream, sync, and file sharing on the go from both public and private cloud storage services. AiCloud offers a unified app for iOS and Android devices that turn the RT-AC66U into a personal cloud server, with easy connectivity to Windows PC, Mac, Linux machines, and all USB storage. All content, files and data can be accessed, synced, shared, and managed from smartphones to desktops by AiCloud.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
