Wireline Services to fuel Vodafone’s growth in India 
Vodafone Business Services (VBS) has unveiled its venture into wireline services with a suite of offerings for businesses for its growth in India. With this introduction, VBS is targeting to achieve 20% of its enterprise revenue coming from wireline services over the next five years.
Vodafone’s wireline services infrastructure comprises of 120,000 km of fiber across the country, over 350 PoPs across 130 cities and an ISO 27001-certified Network Operations Centre (NOC) for 24x7 performance management. 
Naveen Chopra, Director - Vodafone Business Services, said, “Having built a robust infrastructure over the last three years, we are now looking at wireline services as a key revenue driver for Vodafone Business Services. With our suite of offerings in this space, we are now a total communication services provider in the true sense. This is going to be one of our strategic priorities at VBS and we are expecting that it will contribute over 20% towards our enterprise revenues over the next five years.” 
The wireline services suite is a part of the total communication solutions, over and above the  mobility and M2M services.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
