NVIDIA GPUSs enables Enterprises to scale Higher 
NVIDIA(NASDAQ:NVDA) has announced that top enterprise and mobile application companies are using GPUs to tackle big data analytics and advanced search for both consumer and commercial applications. Enterprises such as Shazam, Salesforce.com and Cortexica have expanded the use of Tesla GPUs accelerators for the areas like audio search, big data analytics and image recognition.
Sumit Gupta, General Manager, Tesla Accelerated Computing Business, NVIDIA, said, “GPU accelerators provide great value to applications with lots of data or computations. A growing number of applications that provide mobile service and social media analysis have both. And that is prompting their providers to turn to GPU accelerators as they scale up their infrastructure to meet growing demand.”
By accelerating the search and matching process, Tesla GPUs enable Shazam to maintain a low-cost server infrastructure that scales with the company’s dramatic growth.
Jason Titus, Chief Technology Officer, Shazam Entertainment, said, “GPUs enable us to handle our tremendous processing needs at substantial cost savings, delivering twice the performance per dollar compared to a CPU-based system. We are adding millions of video and foreign language audio tracks to our existing services, and GPU accelerators give us a way to achieve scalable growth.”
Salesforce.com using NVIDIA CUDA GPU accelerators enables to help major international brands, including Cisco, Dell and Gatorade, monitor and analyze more than 500 million daily tweets for brand, product, and service and support issues. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
