Infosys, SAP join hands over Mobile App Development 
Infosys(NYSE:INFY) has announced that it is collaborating with SAP(NYSE:SAP) on the development of mobile applications for the retail industry. These efforts are focussed on giving consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies anytime, anywhere access to sales representatives and merchandisers, enabling them to capture information from the field to make them more competitive and agile.

Specifically, Infosys has cooperated with SAP on the development of the SAP Retail Execution mobile application version 3.0. The application streamlines sales forces by providing data via user-friendly mobile devices, instead of cumbersome laptops and user interfaces.

Rajesh Murthy, Global Head of SAP practice, Infosys, said, "SAP Retail Execution helps CPG companies boost return on brand and promotion investments by increasing promotional compliance and monitoring the success of new products. Our partnership with SAP creates new opportunities for organizations to maximize the data their systems generate, which improves the speed and confidence of their decision making."

The applications also provide critical business insights that help grow sales and more efficiently perform in-store activities like surveys, audits, order taking, promotion compliance and other functions. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
