Amtrak brings a complete education solution with My Class Buddy 
Designed to give the best of content for the young students of high schools and prepare the students for the upcoming new digital era, Amtrak Info System (AISPL)has launched an education tablet in Rajasthan named “Amtrak My Class Buddy A700 E”.
The 7-inch tablet is designed to complement to the government of Rajasthan’s recent announcement of distributing cheques in 35,819 government schools to 3.5 lakh students who have secured second to eleventh position in the merit list of 8th class for buying tablets.
The key features of this tablet are e-library of 50,000 books from Bookchums, 3 layers of security such as data security and device security, eNlight space for the students to save their homework, projects and assignments for lifetime.  
Sandeep Arya, MD, Amtrak Info System, said, "We have made sure that we stand entirely different by offering the right kind of content and truly a solution for a school going student by incorporating extra space for important content like school assignments, e-books from the study material, with cutting-edge Cloud computing technology.”
The technical specifications of the tablet include Android 4.0 (ICS), Cortex-A8 1.0 GHz processor, 0.3MP front facing camera, 512MB RAM and 4GB internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB. It also includes features like built-in 3 Axis Gravity Acceleration Sensor, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G with USB Modem, 3.5mm Headphone Jack  and  3600mAh Li-ion Polymer Battery.....See More

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
