Polycom starts Mobile Video Collaboration to more devices in India 
Opening video collaboration software applications for mobile devices and personal computers,Polycom, Inc(NASDAQ:PLCM). has announced Polycom RealPresence Mobile3.0 and Polycom RealPresence Desktop 3.0. The new versions include enhanced content-sharing capabilities and support across more devices from companies, including Apple, LG, Samsung and Sony. RealPresence Mobile 3.0 andRealPresence Desktop 3.0 video collaboration software are powered by the Polycom RealPresence Platform.
The updates were announced at InfoComm 2013, in Orlando, Florida.“Organizations expect a great collaboration experience, whether they are at headquarters, at home, with a customer or on the road – or for that matter in a school, a hospital, a court room, or a manufacturing plant. Polycom is focussed on delivering solutions that make it incredibly easy for anyone to collaborate via video regardless of device or environment. Polycom RealPresence Mobile 3.0 software lets customers securely extend the use of video collaboration beyond the conference room to easily connect tablets and smartphones (iOS and Android devices) with other standards-based video systems, providing a simple and intuitive video collaboration experience when users are on-the-go, travelling or working remotely. Available for more than a dozen devices, the app also includes far-end camera control (ability to control cameras remotely) and Polycom SmartPairing technology.
Polycom RealPresence Desktop 3.0 software is an affordable, enterprise-quality video collaboration application for Windows and Mac-based laptops and PCs. The solution, which includes layout enhancements to the intuitive user interface, extends the benefits of Polycom RealPresence video collaboration from the office desk to the home or wherever a user travels when on the go. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
