IBM and Jet Airways sign 10-Year Pact

According to the latest update, the “Big Blue” of the IT industry IBM(NYSE:IBM) has signed a 10-year contract with Jet Airways.
Under the contract, IBM will manage the customer call centre, including providing improved analytics capabilities and a “refreshed” IT infrastructure for Jet Airways. Also, IBM will offer a contact centre and backoffice services for JET Airways’ 11 lines of business, including domestic and international reservations, Jet Privilege programme, cargo, refunds and helpdesk services.
Here, it is important to note that the latest arrangement is an extension of their (Jet Airways and IBM’s) three-year relationship under which IBM helped Jet Airways to transform its core IT infrastructure.
Manish Dureja, Marketing Vice-President, Jet Airways, said, The company decided to migrate and consolidate the contact centre under IBM in order to gain scale, get the best resources and talent and competitive advantage and make significant cost savings.
Dureja further added that discussions on extending the partnership began nearly one-and-a-half years ago and the final talks for the project got concluded in May.......See More
