RCom makes 3G Data cheaper than 2G 
Telecom services provider Reliance Communications has made an announcement to cut down the price of third-generation (3G) data services by almost half. This launch offers new 3G data at 2G data prices for Smartphone and Tablet users, targeting the fast-growing segment. The company has reduced the prices for 1GB of 3G data at Rs.123 per month from Rs.250 per month as against Rs.125 per month for 2G data tariff.

With this offer, all new and existing Reliance subscribers can also avail 3G services across the post-paid and pre-paid segments.

Under the new offer, Reliance 3G customers can enjoy the smartphone experience using its "Built-for-Internet" network and fast video streaming on their smartphones and tablets, pan-India, without any delay and buffering, anytime, anywhere.

Gurdeep Singh, President & Chief Executive Officer, Wireless, Reliance Communications, said, "This is an inherent part of RCom’s objective to take high-speed data services to every Smartphone and tablet user in the country, without them worrying about incremental or high costs. By breaking the 3G entry barrier, we plan to bring about a behavioural change and take the benefits of quick data access to everyone and impact not just lives, but lifestyles as well."

Reliance Communications' subscribers can also access 3G services at Rs.246 for 2GB and Rs.492 for 4GB. New customers coming to the Reliance network through mobile number portability (MNP) will be able to avail 1GB of 3G data free per month for two months.......See More
