Apple unveils lower priced iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C
Apple has unveiled two new iPhones, including iPhone 5s and iPhone 5C that come in five colours and are priced to bring the smartphones within the reach of the masses in poorer emerging markets. It has almost the same specifications as iPhone 5, which was launched as the company's flagship device last year, but in a plastic body.

Apple claims that iPhone 5C (with a contract in the US) is cheaper than all new iPhones launched till now, and is said to be targeted at emerging markets like India and China. With the launch of iPhone 5S, Apple has discontinued the iPhone 5 that was rolled out last year and served as the flagship model till now. It will be available in three colours -  gold, white and black.Tim Cook, Chief Executive, Apple, kicked off the event at the company's Cupertino headquarters which also ushered in the pricier iPhone 5S.

Apple claims that the iPhone 5S will be twice as fast for both CPU and graphics and says the new A7 processor housed within includes over a billion transistors -  twice as many as the A6 processor in the iPhone 5, while retaining the same footprint (iOS 7 has apparently been updated to take advantage of the new 64-bit architecture too).

The iPhone 5C, by comparison, includes Apple's older (but still powerful) A6 processor, an 8-mega pixel camera, front-facing FaceTime HD camera

The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5c will be priced at  $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB or $399 for 64GB -  all with two-year.......See More
