Microsoft to encourage App Development in India 
As part of its strategic move to help developers and IT professionals chart their career path and prepare to make their mark in the apps landscape,Microsoft(NASDAQ:MSFT), along with 23 learning solution partners like NIIT, Aptech and IT-Networkz, are hosting the "Power Your Future" initiative across the country. More than 45,000 developers and IT professionals are participating in a simultaneous orientation session across 1,000 locations, aimed at helping them chart their career path.  This initiative is projected to also provide direction to hone their skills to build apps for the global marketplace.

The "Power Your Future" initiative will ensure to give professionals and students an opportunity to hear from senior Microsoft leaders and mentors from across the country. This will help them understand the latest trends, identify their strengths and interest areas and have career discussions with counsellors at their local learning centre. More than 1,000 CPLS (Certified Partner for Learning Solutions) centres will host the session concurrently.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
