Cisco to power IoE with Network Convergence System 
With Internet traffic rapidly growing among new waves of Cloud, mobile, video and machine-to-machine applications, Cisco(NASDAQ:CSCO) has introduced the Cisco Network Convergence System (NCS) to serve as the foundation of adaptable Internet. By deploying the Cisco NCS, global service providers can create new revenue streams, simplify operations and deliver personalized experience to their customers.


The NCS is designed to facilitate Internet of Everything (IoE) events, which can be ongoing "conversations" creating strings of interactivity between people, applications and devices, such as wearable health monitors linking with personal information and cloud-based health portals or 4G LTE-connected automobiles signalling that a driver is almost home, prompting the home network to adjust home temperature and lighting.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
