LAVA expands its high-end smartphone portfolio with Iris Pro 30 
LAVA International Limited has introduced its first smartphone to Iris Pro series by unveileing the Iris Pro 30, which the company claims to be the India’s lightest smartphone in the 4.7” or more screen size category. The series is designed on the theme ‘Art meets Smart’ and comes with beautiful design & features exemplifying sleekness, elegance & quality.
Lava Iris Pro 30 features 4.7 inch HD IPS (312 ppi) display featuring OGS (one glass solution) and weighs 114 grams. It is equipped with an 8MP rear camera, 3MP front camera, Dual LED flash and BSI sensor.
The phone also features 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and SGX 544 GPU, Android  Jelly Bean v4.2. The phone packs a 2000mAh battery with CABC (Content Adaptive backlight control) technology The device is OTG enabled which allows it to directly read data from pen drives and receive inputs from keyboard or mouse.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
