Canon promotes photography culture in India 
With a view to promoting photography culture in India, Canon(NYSE:CAJ) has participated in photography event - India Kliks.

With the theme - BLISS, over 5,000-odd entries competed and the best 100 were handpicked by a celebrated jury of photographers and photo-critics from India and abroad. These 100 images are curated and have found place in photo expositions in Agra and New Delhi. Canon India was the proud award sponsor for this contest held in September 2013 and had given away a Canon 700D camera to the winner of the contest. The mega event will go on till February 16, 2014.

Dr Alok Bharadwaj, Executive Vice-President, Canon India, said, “India is gradually becoming one of the prime markets for photo enthusiasts. With the rapid growth in the technology space and interest of people growing towards photography, Digital SLRs are fast becoming one of the ‘must-haves’ for today’s generation.
