Lava launches Iris 504Q+ 
LAVA International Limited has revealed Lava Iris 504Q+ in the Indian market. Lava Iris 504Q+ is the successor to the highly successful Iris 504Q which was launched in June last year and comes packed with latest software features and hardware components that offer a great  user experience.
Its 10 MP rear autofocus camera is powered by Sony Exmor RS Sensor having sensor size of 1/3.2 inch allowing enhanced lowlight performance. Sony Exmor RS Sensor has bigger pixel size of 1.4 µm ensuring enhanced image quality. 
The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor along-with Mali 400 MP2 @500MHz Graphics Unit. It is a dual SIM phone and offers dual standby capability.
Commenting on the launch Hari Om Rai, Chairman & Managing Director, Lava International Ltd., said, “Iris 504Q+ was developed with an insight based understanding that we got from our consumers after the launch of our popular smartphone Iris 504Q mid last year.”

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
