PTCL teams up with Polycom to offer videoconferencing service
Polycom has announced that Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL), the country’s largest telecommunications and internet service provider, has selected Polycom to offer a new videoconferencing and content collaboration service to their customers. The service is powered by Polycom RealPresence One, a new subscription-based solution that will enable PTCL customers to easily and affordably implement fully secure, HD quality Polycom videoconferencing and content sharing across their organization.

Based on an annual subscription service model, they can easily adjust their investment in video collaboration as the scale and requirements of their organization change, supporting business development and growth at any speed. PTCL customers simply decide on the number of people they want to enable with enterprise quality video collaboration in their organization and how many multiparty connections they require.

Minhaj Zia, Managing Director, Polycom India & SAARC, said, “Our broad range of software and hardware video collaboration solutions are transforming the way organizations do business, particularly in economies rich in potential, such as Pakistan. We are proud to partner with PTCL to make the benefits of video collaboration more accessible and affordable for Pakistani businesses of any size, operating in any industry or sector.”

The new service is designed to provide increased communication between dispersed sites and teams, and enhance business productivity for Pakistani companies. Polycom RealPresence One, launched earlier this year, is a comprehensive package sold by subscription that includes Polycom’s market-leading RealPresence Platform software and services for video and content collaboration.

Kamal Ahmed, Chief Digital Services Officer (CDSO), PTCL, said at the occasion, “The service is a cost-effective solution aimed at empowering corporate businesses and SMEs to swiftly react to market opportunities and improve customer interactions while reducing Capex and improving efficiency.”

The partnership, which is the first tie-up between Polycom and a Pakistan service provider, will also see PTCL become a reseller of Polycom endpoints along with managed services....see more
