FAIITA advises members to abstain from buying materials from OEMs
The Federation of All IT Associations of India (FAIITA) has issued directives in which it has advised its members to voluntarily refrain from purchasing any materials. The ban is effective from December 15, 2014.

The directives read, “All members are advised to voluntarily refrain from purchasing any material from 15th December, 2014 onwards. All states are advised to join the national movement of All India Associations to fight for a level-playing field and to stop predatory pricing practices indulged by OLS / Others.  There are some states that have already started the movement. It is time to show solidarity all across the country. It is a fight for our survival. So let us hold hands together for showing our unity to ourselves and the entire country for a bright future.”

FAIITA, after discussions with the State Presidents, understood the various operational difficulties and has advised to take action on the following that will best suit their state in consultation with their members:

1.  T1 channel partners not purchasing any material from OEMs
2.  T2 / T3 / T4 channel partners not purchasing any material from any T1 partner or OEMs directly
3.  T2 / T3 / T4 channel partners doing internal trade with each other with their own carried stock
