Microsoft takes over San Francisco-based Acompli

The Acompli investment is part of Microsoft’s effort to help people do more with their mobile devices, using powerful mobile email apps written for iOS and Android operating systems, as well as improve overall productivity across mobile platforms. The “bring-your-own-device” (BYOD) concept is increasingly finding favour with more and more employees - half of all email messages are read first on mobile devices – and this brings context to the Acompli investment.
