Tata DoCoMo has hosted the third of its ten-city industry confluence “Do Big Symposium” in Delhi recently. Hosted by the Enterprise business of Tata Teleservices, "Do Big Symposium" aims to create a unified platform for industry experts, entrepreneurs and CIOs to come together and conduct a meaningful discussion on technology trends that are impacting and enabling businesses to:
•         Differentiate their services vis-à-vis their competitors
•         Initiate in-depth interactions with existing and potential customers
•         Improve productivity and operational efficiencies
The theme for this year’s Do Big Symposium is “Harnessing the power of SMI (Social, Mobile and Internet of Things)” for business transformation – The future is closer than you think!” The discussion at the event revolved around how companies are leveraging SMI to create significant businesses differentiators to win in the marketplace.
Prateek Pashine, Head of Enterprise, Tata Teleservices Limited, stated, “In the age where more ‘things or objects’ are connected to the Internet than people, Tata DoCoMo understands that data and the growing penetration of technology, especially in businesses, is no longer a luxury but a necessity today. The fact that consumers are adopting and adapting to mobile-based services at an exponential rate is a direct consequence of the ‘half-life’ phenomena. The event also covered the required building blocks, key enablers and challenges faced to implement the SMI strategy in a company. 
The keynote speech was delivered by Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder & CEO of One97/Paytm.  The evening ended with an insightful and invigorating panel discussion on how technologies such as IoT, social media penetration and mobile application usage will impact the functioning and services of businesses. The panel was graced by Subroto K. Panda, CIO, Anand and Anand; and Sharad Arora, Pulkit Ahuja, Founder & Director, Technology and Operations, Unlockar Apps (P) Ltd.
