LAVA debuts Iris Fuel 20

LAVA has announced the launch of LAVA Iris Fuel 20, another smartphone in the Iris Fuel series of big battery devices.Iris Fuel 20 comes with a mammoth 4,400mAh battery that promises 42 hours 2G talk-time, 13 hours video playback and 35 hours music playback time. 
It features a 5-inch display with FWVGA 854X480 resolution. The smartphone operates on the 4.4 KitKat Android OS and runs on 1.3 GHz Dual-Core processor paired with 512MB of RAM.On the camera front, the smartphone offers 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 4x digital zoom and high-quality Omni Vision sensor. It also includes a VGA front-facing camera supporting video calling. Moreover, Iris Fuel 20 also supports HD Video Playback with 720 pixels.

On the connectivity front it supports 2G connectivity, micro USB v2.0, Bluetooth V4.0 and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n). The smartphone has inbuilt 4GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB. The smartphone comes with a free flip cover.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
