With the TV clip where MLAs caught watching clippings and pictures inside the House going viral, a ban has been imposed on carrying mobile phones inside the legislative assembly of Karnataka.
An MLA was caught surfing photographs on his cellphone downloaded from WhatsApp during a serious debate on sugarcane pricing in the recently held session in Karnataka. MLAs were caught not only watching video clippings but also playing games like Candy Crush during the assembly sessions.
Following such incidents legislative assembly Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa had announced that he was contemplating imposing a ban on mobiles in the assembly.
