Reliance Jio hurries to launch 4G services before Govt’s deadline
After trials of parts of the network that threw up technical glitch around connecting one point with another, Reliance Jio Infocomm is in a hurry to launch its 4G data and voice services before government’s mandated timeline.
In Mumbai and Gandhinagar the company may be close to its launch but the company is testing 3,700 sites for its network in Delhi.
As per report, the company is facing challenges like securing sites and laying more optic fibre. Reliance Jio had announced its plans to introduce high-speed data and voice services in 2015 but has never given a specific date.
According to rules of Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the company must roll out its services by second half of 2015, five years from the time it was allotted 4G airwaves in the 2300 MHz band... See more
