ZTE launches uSmartDC Solution

ZTE Corporation has launched its green uSmartDC solution that covers all data center (DC) links from equipment room construction to multi-DC management, helping customers build efficient, elastic and cloud-based DCs. The ZTE uSmartDC with power usage effectiveness (PUE) value resolves customers’ major issues around the DC by improving their competitiveness in the market.

With regards to the use of natural resources in the uSmartDC solution, ZTE has introduced evaporative cooling technology to the DC cooling system. Depending on the local climate, wind can be used to cool the equipment. On hot days, the temperature of the cooling wind can be reduced through the evaporation of the drinking water. This means that the solution’s power consumption is very low, and that the PUE can reach 1.06, significantly lower than the standard 1.5 PUE of an energy-efficient DC. The energy-saving solution ensures not only the normal service operation of the entire DC, but also the sustainable development of the environment.

The cloud DC is the outcome of social and economic development, technological advances, people’s needs and business model transformation... See more
