Apple acquires Israeli Camera Tech Company LinX
Apple has acquired an Israeli camera tech company LinX for about $20 million. This will give DSLR-like mobile performance and other offerings include parallax images and 3D picture capture. This acquisition helps in pushing image quality while helping slim down camera design.
LinX targets on tablets and smartphones which could achieve better low-light performance, best for capturing picture indoor and outdoor without using flash. It also offers the kind of background defocus on low apperture lenses when paired with DSLRs.
