Lava introduces entry-level smartphone-Iris X1 Atom

Aiming at the customers who are likely to upgrade from a feature phone or are first-time smartphone buyers, Lava International has introduced an entry-level device in the Iris series of Android smartphones the Iris X1 Atom.

This phone runs on 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor and has a 5MP PureCel rear camera with high-intensity LED flash that offers an excellent camera experience. It comes with Android KitKat, 4.4 with a guaranteed upgrade to Android Lollipop, 5.0 through FOTA.

Iris X1 Atom has a 4-inch WVGA (480*800) display that offers 233 pixels per inch and 16.7 million colours. It packs in 512 RAM and an internal memory of 4GB, which is expandable up to 32GB via micro-SD card, giving its target users enough space to store their multimedia content. The smartphone also offers software features such as Smart Swipe. This is essentially a 4 way gesture/shortcut that includes Smart View (use two fingers to rotate the images in gallery), Double Tap to Wake up, Active Shot (one step shortcut to click photograph).
