Chennai, India– May 15, 2015 – Dell Indiatodayorganizedits Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network(DWEN)meet up, for the first time in Chennaiwith presence from 19eminent women entrepreneurs who have established or have been instrumental in establishing entrepreneurial ventures in their respective fields. The event was designed such that the entrepreneurswere offered a platform to come together and collaborateto further contribute to the growth of what is already a nation-wide positive Indian women entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country.Dell has held several such networking meet-ups in cities like New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai, increasing the network of women entrepreneurs who come together periodically to share the lessons, mantras and successes achieved through their journeys.

India is witnessing a phenomenal acceleration in the birth of dynamic and spirited start-ups, and the business environment at present is more conducive to their growth than ever. This makes it relevant to note and share the expertise required to run an entrepreneurial venture competently in any domain of business. Evolution, determined leadership and inspiration from surroundings, competition and from the business itself, are key factors that can enable an entrepreneur to hone and nurture a successful new venture.

Keeping this in mind, attendees at DWEN’s Chennai chapter came together to hold a focused group discussion around the theme, “Change, Inspire & Lead”to share with one another their experiences of being an entrepreneur, and how each of these words holdsa unique relevance in their varied fields of business. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
