NASSCOM signs MoU with Maharashtra Government to set up two Warehouses

NASSCOM’s 10,000 Start-Up Programme has signed an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra to open start-up warehouses in Navi Mumbai and Pune. The MoU signing ceremony was held in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis and Hon. Subhash Desai, Minister of Industries, along with Bhushan Gagrani, CEO of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), and R. Chandrashekhar, President, NASSCOM, NASSCOM delegates, along with other industry leaders and entrepreneur community.

The key objectives behind the strategic partnership is to build entrepreneurial capabilities in the state, create a vibrant online community to link investors, mentors and start-up entrepreneurs, and create massive awareness about tech-entrepreneurship a preferred career option. The programme will also organize common application process in consultation with the Department of Industries and MIDC to generate massive volumes of start-up applications and make relevant connections to the investing community.

The new start-up warehouses set up by NASSCOM in association with MIDC will provide for physical infrastructure by providing space for IT start-ups and incubation centres at a nominal rent with all the necessary amenities. Aimed to capture the essence of entrepreneurial and innovative spirit of Maharashtra, the set-up will provide early stage technology start-ups with highly affordable co-working space conveniently located in the centre of the city, thereby establishing Navi Mumbai and Pune as one of the emerging destinations of global businesses and start-ups...
