Nokia Networks Chennai Factory reaches major milestone

Nokia Networks’ Chennai factory has achieved a major milestone. After having been in  operation for nearly seven years, this announcement was made during an event which was attended by Shri Amitabh Kant, Secretary for Industrial Policy and Promotion, Government of India, government officials, European delegates and customers.

Nokia Networks’ Chennai factory is the largest manufacturing facility in the Indian telecommunications equipment manufacturing sector, and a strategic hub for Nokia’s global operations.

The company has invested approximately INR500 crore since 2008 in the 140,000-square metre facility, which produces and distributes mobile broadband products for advanced technologies such as LTE in the domestic and global markets... See more
