Rackspace along with Akamai to offer New CDN Service

Rackspace has announced the launch of Rackspace Content Delivery Network (CDN) service, which is powered by Akamai Technologies. With the launch of the Rackspace CDN offering, Rackspace and Akamai are expanding their longstanding relationship to offer customers integrated, “one-click” access to Akamai’s CDN services via the Rackspace portal. Rackspace CDN will help customers more easily and efficiently deliver entire websites or web applications with global scale and reliability through on-demand access to the Akamai Intelligent Platform.

“The integration of Akamai’s CDN into our cloud platform allows us to create an on-demand, utility-based, content delivery solution, which expands the Rackspace managed cloud portfolio. As more of our customers focus on the performance of their digital platform, our new CDN solution will give them a faster, more reliable way to deliver website content to their customers across the world,” said Steve Crusenberry, Senior Vice-President, Infrastructure, Rackspace.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
