Dell Eyes T3-T5 Markets for driving demand for PCs

Dell has been consistently delivering on its planned strategy for the consumer business focussed on product innovation, wider retail and distribution network and market communication. Signalling its commitment towards driving PC awareness and usage in India, Dell has also announced an expanded portfolio of award-winning devices featuring premium materials, stylish finishes and the latest technologies from its Inspiron, XPS and Alienware and Venue families.

Recognizing that the demand for a PC is on the rise in emerging towns, Dell is intent on ensuring that technology is made available to consumers who lack access to computing devices. With focussed expansion in Tier-3 to Tier-5 markets, Dell today has a retail presence in over 1,000 cities across India and 475 Dell Exclusive Stores in over 300 cities. Dell plans to double these numbers by the end of 2015.

To gain a better understanding of the unique needs of consumers across India, Dell has also commissioned a study with Greyhound Research titled the “The PC User Trends of Emerging India” in 40 locations across India capturing insights from students, youth, young workforce and parents. The study validates the ongoing execution of Dell’s sustained strategy across T3 – T5 markets, which aims at building awareness around PC usage among the next generation of PC users.
