EMC and ICT Academy of Kerala collaborate to train on skills for Third Platform Technologies - See

ICT Academy of Kerala has tied up with EMC to train and certify 3,000 graduating students with skills on third Platform Technologies like Cloud and Big Data during the next two years. As per MoU, the students will be trained on Information Storage and Management, Cloud Infrastructure and Services, Data Science and Big data Analytics.

Tomorrow’s IT organization, as an IT as a Service organization, will present many challenges and opportunities. IT professionals will be responsible for more data than ever, derived from new sources and in new formats. New and greater demands are being made as to the core qualifications of individuals, as well as to their understanding and knowledge of the consequences of the introduction of information technology for the work and organization of a company. They will need to not only build and maintain technology assets, but also orchestrate services to enable the business to consume them effectively in its operations, decisions, and innovations. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
