Motorola rolls out its latest Moto X Play

Motorola has launched the Moto X Play smartphone in India. The smartphone will be available exclusively in Flipkart, Motorola’s exclusive online retail partner, priced at Rs.18,499 for the 16GB variant, and Rs.19,999 for the 32GB variant. The company has also announced a galore of launch offers with its latest smartphone launch.

The company has launched the dual-SIM variants of the handset in India, supporting Nano SIM cards.

Featuring 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with a 403pppi pixel density, the smartphone runs by Android  5.1.1 Lollipop. It also features Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB and 32GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB externally.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
