Google initiates Startup India Standup India

To boost the startups, Google has made a long-term commitment to help young entrepreneurs and Startups achieve their vision and fuel India’s startup ecosystem. At 4,200 enterprises, India already ranks third in the world for the number of startups after the US and the UK. With three to four startups emerging every day, this number is expected to reach several thousand by 2020.

Rajan Anandan, VP & MD, Google South East Asia & India, said, “With the Startup India Standup India event, the Government of India has shown great foresight in providing a platform to the Startups in the country to engage industry leaders and successful entrepreneurs to come together and drive the spirit of entrepreneurship forward in the country. And we are delighted to carry forward the vision and align with ‘Startup India Standup India’ efforts, with a special session focussing on early-stage startups by providing them a platform to present their ideas to the world under our Launchpad Program.”Read more
