HP seizes counterfeit print cartridges and components of Rs.34 crore

In an effort to safeguard customers from fraudulent products, HP(NYSE:HPQ) has confiscated counterfeit print cartridges and components worth Rs.34 crore in 38 cities across 19 states in India. HP has collaborated with local law-enforcement authorities to make this action possible.

The local authorities raided and took legal actions against manufacturers and sellers in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Manipur.
