HPE helps customers modernize their data centers with new server offerings

To help customers accelerate innovation, speed time-to-value and modernize their data centers, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced a new server portfolio. These new offerings include:
  • * New compute platforms with built-in support for Persistent Memory, a technology that combines the performance of high-speed memory and the persistence of storage to deliver new levels of application performance
  • * New HPE ProLiant Gen9 server options and related solutions to help enterprise customers modernize their data centers
  • * New HPE workload-optimized platforms and solutions including new HPE Apollo and HPE Moonshot systems – designed to deliver new levels of performance and real-time insights for deep learning systems, high-performance computing (HPC) and financial services industry (FSI) applications..Read More

Japan's Sharp to buy Toshiba PC business for $36 mln

As per the report, Sharp Corporation of Japan to buy Toshiba Corp’s personal computer business for 4 billion yen ($36 million). Sharp brand is under the control of manufacturing giant Foxconn, the world’s biggest contract manufacturer and major Apple Inc supplier, to produce PCs more cheaply – just as it was able to do in TVs. Another report also noticed by VARINDIA, Foxconn is also promoting the Sharp TV to start marketing in India, which has kick started from this year IPL(Indian Premiere League) ,with this they are marking a return to a business in India. Earlier Sharp was a known brand in terms of technology but it’s position become negligible with the fastest technology and pricing structure of SAMSUNG, LG and Sony.
