RCOM wins Frost & Sullivan Award for Enterprise SIP Trunking Service
RCOM’s India Enterprise Business unit took the honors at the Frost & Sullivan India Digital Transformation Award 2017 for its pioneering SIP Trunking service in the ‘New Products and Services’ category.
“It is indeed a great honor to be acknowledged for product innovation and services. IP Voice is dramatically changing the contours of voice communications and enterprises are looking at newer ways of minimizing Capex, while seeking better return on investment. Reliance SIP Trunk is one of early game-changers in the transformative journey towards the IP voice ecosystem,” said Bill Barney, Co-CEO, Reliance Communications, and Chairman and CEO of Global Cloud Xchange.
Launched in 2016 by RCOM’s India Enterprise Business, Reliance SIP Trunk is India’s first Enterprise SIP Trunking service to be powered by the IP Multimedia System (IMS). It is a highly scalable IP voice service designed for enterprise use for internal as well as external communications. Unlike traditional telephony that works on “lines”, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) trunking operates on IP “sessions”.
Reliance is the only operator in India to have designed a nationwide voice network purely to serve the IP voice requirements of enterprises. This architecture enables flexibility and virtually limitless capability to deliver any number of sessions that the customer needs.
“Reliance Communications has been a pioneer in launching India’s first and only Enterprise SIP Trunking service powered by IP Multimedia Sub-system (IMS). Its unique self-care portal for enterprises has equipped organizations with better capabilities to manage their circuits. Its acute focus on developing vertical specific solutions and service assurance capabilities has enabled them to provide enterprises an integrated, seamless product technology platform for a great user experience,” said Benoy CS, Director & Business Unit Head, Digital Transformation, South Asia & Middle East, Frost & Sullivan....Read More
