OTTs & TSPs Need to Work Together :Broadband India Forum: Broadband India Forum (BIF), an independent policy forum and think-tank, today held an event on the ‘Regulation and Substitutability of OTT Services with Telecom Services’. The event was presided over by the Chief Guest, Mr. Yaduvendra Mathur, Special Secretary, NITI Aayog and other industry luminaries including Mr. Rajat Kathuria, Director and Chief Executive, ICRIER and Mr. Ashwinder Sethi, Principal, Analysis Mason.

Japan's Sharp to buy Toshiba PC business for $36 mln

As per the report, Sharp Corporation of Japan to buy Toshiba Corp’s personal computer business for 4 billion yen ($36 million). Sharp brand is under the control of manufacturing giant Foxconn, the world’s biggest contract manufacturer and major Apple Inc supplier, to produce PCs more cheaply – just as it was able to do in TVs. Another report also noticed by VARINDIA, Foxconn is also promoting the Sharp TV to start marketing in India, which has kick started from this year IPL(Indian Premiere League) ,with this they are marking a return to a business in India. Earlier Sharp was a known brand in terms of technology but it’s position become negligible with the fastest technology and pricing structure of SAMSUNG, LG and Sony.
