Switch Market grows at 7.8%, Router at 8.2% in Q1, Cisco tops chart: According to a recent IDC study, the worldwide Ethernet switch market recorded $6.8 billion in revenue in the first quarter of 2019 (1Q19), an increase of 7.8% year over year. Meanwhile, the worldwide total enterprise and service provider (SP) router market revenues grew 8.2% year over year 1Q19 to $3.6 billion.
