HP consolidates its position in Graphics Solutions Business


HP has announced that it will be showcasing its industry-leading portfolio of graphics arts technologies at the Korea International Printing Machinery & Equipment Show (KIPES) 2010. The next-generation solutions have been designed to help graphics arts professionals achieve higher returns on their marketing investments while reducing their environmental carbon footprint

."The printing industry is accelerating its shift from analogue to digital and companies need to capitalize on this shift in the market now lest they risk losing out to their competitors," said John Solomon, Senior Vice-President, HP Imaging and Printing Group, Asia Pacific and Japan.

"Based on Pira 2008 estimates, digital printing was 12.5 per cent of the total printing market and it will grow up to 20.9 per cent of the total printing market by 2014. This presents significant growth opportunities for Print Service Providers to capture new growth areas in digital printing."The other key highlights at KIPES 2010 will include the announcement of the winners of the 3rd Asia Pacific and Japan HP Digital Print Awards 2010. Graphic arts professionals will be able to deliver cost-efficient and innovative digital print solutions to enterprises/ brand owners by leveraging on the industry-leading portfolio of graphics arts technologies.

HP will also support Digital Solutions Cooperative (Dscoop) in hosting their first-ever conference for graphics arts professionals in this region held in conjunction with KIPES 2010 this year. HP is the main sponsor of the event, working closely with the Dscoop Asia Pacific Steering Committee and the Dscoop North America leadership and bringing market experts to share experiences during the event.
