Atempo's Solution secures Daikin's Wide Network of Computers

Atempo has now achieved another feather in its cap. Daikin air-conditioning was having a unique problem of their machines missing emails, losing important files or completely crashed hard drives. With plant locations and sales depot across the country and no IT manpower intervention at remote sites, the corporate IT team of Daikin India had a daunting task to manage remote backups of desktops and roaming laptop users.

The main objective of Daikin was to imply a backup policy covering key PC users at HQs as well as at remote location with effective de-duplication for saving storage cost and planning Disk to disk architect for backups.

Now more than a year after implementing the solution, Naveen Verma, Assistant Manager - IT, Daikin, said, "Atempo's Live Backup has given the Daikin IT team a moral boosting confidence by averting data loss by recovering data for critical user during any disaster and 100% compliance of backup policies."

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
