Foxconn sees on-month revenue growth in December
Taiwan-based electronics manufacturing service (EMS) provider Foxconn Electronics has announced revenues of NT$244.68 billion (US$8.36 billion) for December, up 5.5% on month and 83.8% on year, while non-consolidated revenues for 2010 reached NT$2.31 trillion, up 62.83% on year.
However, although the company had strong growth in revenues, market watchers are more concerned about whether the company's profitability will also see a similar performance.
Since the company started a new minimum wage system in October 2010, the market watchers believe that Foxconn should face some pressure on its profitability, but as its production lines in western China started operating plus new orders, the company should start seeing an effective recovery in 2011.
