Confed Summit 2011to collectively explore Growth Areas

The 4th edition of the Confed Summit 2011 will be held in Kollam (Quilon), Kerala on 26th & 27th February, 2011. The Summit is being organized by Confed-ITA, which is an amalgamation of 22 associations.

Around 1,000+ proven dealers from 22 associations from across Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerela would be a part of this annual event. The theme for the Confed Summit 2011 is "Change to Grow".

While explaining the theme of the event, Rtn. Muthuswamy A,President, Confed-ITA - 2011-2012 and Chairman, Confed Summit 2011, said, "Changes are inevitable, changes are natural, not something to be afraid of, as nothing remains static. All changes may not result in growth, but the Changes that lead to Growth are to be identified and pursued. In Summit 2011, let us together explore the areas that need to be changed to Grow Together. Positive changes lead to Positive Growth."

"Business in India through channels is growing year after year and the partnership between the Vendors, distributors, partners and resellers has played a very vital role in this growth. The Summit 2011 will further cement this relationship with all of us," he further added.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
