EMC appoints Vinod Sadarangani for Global Services Business, India

EMC India has appointed Vinod Sadarangani as Chief Architect, Global Services, for India. In this new role, Vinod will be responsible for developing a solutions-centred consulting practice in India, as well as lead the Specialist Technology Consultants in the pre-sales organization. He will work closely with Sumant Pal, Head, Global Services, EMC India, and the EMC sales team to help key enterprise customers build an information infrastructure strategy and optimize their datacenters

Commenting on the appointment, Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India & SAARC, said, "EMC views Global Services business as key to its growth strategy in India and is bringing in the best talent to offer our customers strategic counsel to address their information management challenges. Vinod's extensive industry experience and deep knowledge of IT infrastructure will further strengthen EMC's ability to provide superior information infrastructure consulting services to our customers in India."

Vinod has been with EMC for over six years, based out of Singapore where he headed the Infrastructure Consulting practice for South Asia and led key architectural and consulting engagements across the region. Vinod is an IT industry veteran, having over 29 years of IT experience combined with high-level strategic consulting expertise and a strong engineering foundation. Prior to joining EMC, Vinod was Vice-President, Information Technology, Hutchison Max Telecom Ltd., Mumbai (Orange), India. At Orange India, he was responsible for crafting the IT strategy and creating the enterprise-wide detailed architectural roadmap for the Hutchison group. Vinod has held key IT management positions with leading technology companies such as Tanning Technology Corp, Oracle Corp (Redwood Shores), Intelligroup, Inc. and served as Group CIO, Finolex Group, India.
